DESCRIPTION
This course is an introduction to HTML (HyperText Markup Language),
which is used on the World Wide Web to generate home pages and
sites. Participants will learn the basic skills needed to develop
an appealing and functional Home Page. The process will include
planning, layout, content and basic HTML codes. Students will
understand how to plan a Web Page, the basic commands of HTML
and how to establish links on their Home Page to other sites on
the Web. As the class progresses, students will also add images,
simple animations, email links, and sound to their Home Page.
This course assumes that students have experience with word
processing programs, such as Word, Simpletext, or WordPerfect.
Students should also know how to browse the World Wide Web,
especially using Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer.

ASSIGNMENT
Plan, design, build, and publish at least two linked Web pages,
containing textual content as well as graphics and links to other
Web sites.
